"What am I most sad about" seems like such an easy question, but it is not. Thank you for a great writing prompt to help connect with the sadness of loss. My loss happened a long, long time ago, but I never dealt with it. This will help even if I have to sit with an empty page for however long it takes. Thank you.

I think journaling is a great way to help cope with the grief we find in life. I lost my best friend in a boating accident last summer and not a day goes by when I don't think about her. I have had trouble to cope with the fact I will never see her again, so I have turned to family for help as well as sites like http://onlineceucredit.com/edu/social-work-ceus-dl to get me through this troubling time. Thanks so much for your journaling suggestions, I know I will give them a try too!

I have just subscribed to my first blog! New to this type of communication. Very nice blog overall and I have learned so much. This entry about coping with grief during the holidays is really helpful and the tips are useful even if the loss happened many (many) years ago. Always good to be reminded of self care and #5 and #6 will be good to keep close at hand for after the holidays too because I find that January is sometimes even harder to cope with than the holidays. Thank you for a wonderful and heartfelt blog.

I joined the challenge. What made me do it where your words: "If you are not called to participate at this time, I encourage you to place more awareness on your giving practice."
When I filled out the form they asked, "why do you want to give?"
Why? never asked myself that question before. I guess this is where the challenge lies. To do this it must be "mindful and heart-felt." No strings attached, no wanting to be recognized or to even do it to get more in return. Just to give. That's an art we should all cultivate.
Thanks for the invitation and the challenge!
